NEWLY REGISTERED ACCOUNTANTS WITH THE MALAWI ACCOUNTANTS BOARD

The Malawi Accountants Board (MAB), established under the Public Accountants and Auditors Act, Cap: 53:06 of the Laws of Malawi, is the regulatory body for the accountancy profession in Malawi. Its mandate is to provide direct oversight over professional accountancy bodies and auditors including the mandatory registration of accountants. Section 22 of the Act, gives MAB powers to establish a register known as a Register of Chartered Accountants and Diplomate Accountants which is divided into three parts as follows;

1. Register for Chartered Accountants in Public Practice (Practicing);

2. Register for Chartered Accountants (Non Practicing Residents);

3. Register for Diplomate Accountants.

Malawi Accountants Board would like to inform the general public that at its 138th Board meeting which was held on 4th October 2024, the Board of Directors resolved and approved to admit the following new members:
